I entered a concours November 2004 in the new division as a modified Jaguar (what used to be class C-16). I received my trophy a week or so ago and found I was sent a second place Championship Trophy. Not a problem since I finished second in class, but I thought the new division was going to have unique trophies.

Questions:

1. Did I get sent the wrong trophy or are there no unique trophies for the new division, hence the substitution of the Championship plate?

2. Is there a place on the JCNA website (or anywhere else for that matter), that shows the various trophies that are available?

Regards, John

I am a new/returning member to the LA Club. I am the original owner of a 1968 Series 1 1/2 E type. which I am redoing with some body modifications. I would love to see some pictures of existing modified E types, but do not know where to look. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

John,

The Special Div., in which I also am also a competitor, will be continuing the use of Champion division trophies for the forseeable.
There was even some confusion as to whether Champion or Driven trophies should apply. I think that issue has been settled. It is felt that since these cars drew Champion trophies in the past, and do display all 5 components for judging, that the Champion trophies would apply.

The only unique trophies produced for 2004 will be presented for the year-end annual awards. A description of these should appear in an article in the Jan/Feb issue of the Journal.
