Often, it was not easy for me to decide on which tire to buy, for my cars. While most of the tires, which I usually buy from Tire rack were good, on occasion, I have had a bad set - noisy for example or don't last long enough.
Tread wear rating below 300, is for me, too low.

I noticed that the tires that came with my son's XF were excellent. After 15,000 miles, they looked brand new and the car rides very well..

I examined it and realized that it has a tread wear rating of 500.

Therefore, I thought I would post this positive information about a good job done by Jaguar - they are giving us amazing tires! Too often, manufacturers seem to tend to give tires with lower tread wear rating, with a priority for performance.. I certainly never test the performance limit of any tire, other than for braking in winter/rain.

Anyway, I thought I would point out this excellent tire. I will probably buy the same tire for my other cars also..

Info I got from Tire rack:

The original tire on my 2009 XF-SC are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all season) Plus, also with a 500 tread wear rating. With 41,000 miles the tread is now at 50%, which is very good in my opinion; however, there is now some cracking on the very outer edges of the tread face.

I'm considering Dunlop SportMaxx for the next set.
