I was hoping someone with upholstery experience could answer this quick question.

When doing the sides of the metal frame with vinyl, I have already glued the thin foam pad to the sides then,

Do you glue the vinyl on the foam or just stretch it over the outsides edges and glue those only.

Thanks

Marco, your center console should have a recessed area that allows clearance for the seats to slide. You will need to glue the foam into this area and glue the vinyl to the foam. If not glued down, the seats will rub. Keep glue to a minimum & let the solvents flash out before attaching the vinyl. Too wet and the foam will collapse and stick together. The beading is glued. Enjoy your new interior.Tom

Hi Mark, one last question, the beading around the top cover, (the panel that looks like a fork), and the shifter surround, how is that fixed, staples, glue or ?

So far so good, but I am in process of reassembly ( I never took it apart so don t know how some things were attached).
Thanks for the info, got it done. The sheet metal console structure is covered and looks great!
Cheers
