Hi, Guys

I have a 1972 2+2 coupe, that I have had since it was new. I usually tell people that it has only been driven by a "little old lady", since the car and I have aged together. My husband was only allowed to drive it, if I was with him, because he would tend to get a heavy foot with the V12 engine. When the car was purchased, we were not given the owners manual or a tool kit. MY QUESTION IS: what color is the original owners manual? I have seen them in red, blue and I think the reproduction color of beige. Did a tool kit come with the car or was this an option? I really would appreciate some help on this, as my car is totally original and I am being asked to show it in different car events.
Regards,
Jag Lady

For the most definitive information on Series 3 E-type Owner's Manuals see pages 30 and 31 of the Series 3 E-type Judges Guide as downloadable from the Concours Page of this website. Since publication, the author has confirmed that Jaguar Publication E.160/1B exists. It is also blue. There are 7-difference Owner's Manuals, no less, no more!!!

Bill,
I have ordered a reproduction owners manual from the Shoppe, but I would love to have a original owners manual for my car. Are your manuals for sale? If so, please let me know the price.

Jag lady,
As fgar as I know, the original owner's manual is a bage/yellowish light brown paperbag kind of color. I have two of them. One with some used marks on the outside but very clean on the inside. The other new original still in the bag from Jag with Jaguar part number. I don't know if the manuals in the Shoppe are NOS or reproductions.
Have fun showing the car.

There were additional tool rolls but they were not provided for the US market. You can find the tools in the factory parts manual.

Hello, George
Thanks so much for the info! Back in 1972, when we purchased the car, we were so naive, that we didn't think to ask about a owners manual (wish we had asked). My husband just informed me, that I do have the original black tool roll that houses the jack, etc. and I, also have the spannernut and hammer. George, is there a additional tool roll that I am missing or is this complete for my car?
Thanks for your knowledge,
Jag Lady

Jag Lady--the correct manual is the one offered here in the shoppe. Other versions were for non US cars. As far as tools they were in the handbook but depended on the type of wheels your car came with.
