I am trying to track down any information related to a car that was restored by Reggie Ray in 2002-03 time frame. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Joe,

I can't find that number in my book of plate data on Jags i've worked on, but a lot never made it to the book. I do remember 2 dark blue cps of his that he brought to our shop. His personal car, I believe had aftermarket air conditioning in it, so that's not the one. He also gave it a fender-bender which was fully repaired. The other dk. blue cp. had some paint damage repaired when it was near completion, but again, that was fixed. I also remember going to his shop to work on 2 other coupes, but I don't think either one was dark blue. You might check the JCNA archives for past Concours scores, as Reggie usually showed many of his customer's cars and the chassis number and owner name should be on record somewhere.

Sorry, I can't think of anything else.

Phil

Hi Joe, Just as a point of interest when we first met Reggie, probably at a JCO Concours in 86 or 87 he was showing a dark blue E-Type FHC. I don't remember the color of the interior but wouldn't it be neat if the car you are looking at was once Reggie's own car!

Phil, the car in question is a dark blue 66 FHC with red interior and the chassis number is 1E32391. I am in the process of purchasing this car and would love to be able to track down any information possible.

If you can give a little more info - year, color, chassis number - I might be able to get some info. My boss and I did some of Reggie's work, and we might be able to help. Paulette liquidated everything and i'm sure she kept nothing. I think someone even hijacked (stole) her web site to use as their own. A sad story, overall.

Phil.

Joe, Perhaps one of Reggie's friends knows of a way to contack Paulette to see if any of their records were retained after Reggie died and she closed the shop. Reggie was a good man and built very good cars!
