Battery/starter working fine when cold. Turn off and try to start and there is no problem. Trying to start 20 minutes after turning engine off and I get no result. This is a 3.8 engine in a Proteus D-type.

You have a starter that is bad is heating up and something going open in the starter circuit-- replace it
