The Seattle Jaguar Club met at RW Auto Classics in Monroe WA on 9/18/21 for a tour of the vast collection of parts they have. The building used to be a very large horse stable. Sad to see the loss of a horse stable but they have done a great job converting it and making good use of the space. Sean Riedel, far left, started off our tour with the basic run down. How they got started, how they have grown. Jesse Rumens, second from left, picked up the story. They specialize in British car parts. Matt Wittmier, second from left, gave us his background with the company. Far right is Ray Papineau. Far right is Ray Wittmier who is Matt Wittmier's father. He and Ray Papineau seemed to have a connection, their first names! Jesse explained how they buy up whole collections of parts from various sources. They have thousands of parts and it is a never ending task to catalog them all. They recommended calling them if you are looking for something specific and they can see if they have it. L-R, Mike Hunsley, Steve Walls, Kurt Jacobson, Brian Case. L-R, Ehab Sahawneh, Sean Riedel, Matt Wittmier, Doug Jackson. L-R, Steve Walls, Andrew Hewiston, Brian Case, Ehab Sahawneh. Front end of white XK120 OTS, not yet for sale Jaguar XJ S-C is for sale. Jesse Rumens on right seems to be entertaining Kurt and Ray with his stories. Rare Arnolt Bristol, one of 142 built and one of approximately 85 remaining. We were treated with the story of how Jesse won a bidding battle when the other bidder's phone line was cutoff. The tour continued around the warehouse. And around the warehouse. And people got to look around and have some conversations. Impressive collection of camshafts. Racks and racks of parts. I like this one for the colorfulness! Kurt and Ehab might be discussing the kissing E-Type bonnets. Members could wander around at their leisure and have a chance to catch up with other members. Or wander alone and look for that one part they need! Kurt looks lost among the racks and racks of parts. Seemed like the parts never ended. L-R, Doug Jackson, Martha Carpena and Steve Walls. And the parts continued upstairs! Not your typical salvage yard! A gazillion parts and a few cars for sale. They put on an impressive spread for our club members to enjoy. L-R, Doug Jackson, Sean Riedel, Brian Case and Bill Holmes. Doug Jackson can attest to the food being finger licking good! At the end of the tour Ehab traded a transmission with Matt.

Janet and Andrew Hewiston Another stop on the journey was at the MaryHill Museum of Art. Cars just arriving. The Redmond Towne Center was a great location for the Exotics car show-British Day held Sep 11th. It was an amazing and colorful collection of vehicles. Colorful! It was fun walking up and down trying to take in all the great cars! I like Kurt's description of a line of Skittles. There were a variety of cars! Bug Eye Sprites in Front and Aston Martins in the background. One area was filled with McLarens. The center circle, by the fountains, was filled with the cars the staff liked the best. In case you can't tell which is which, one on the left is new Project 8 belonging to Tony Grayson and the one on right is 1973 E Type 2+2 belonging to Brian Case. Tony Grayson standing behind the XE SV Project 8. One of only 300 produced. Look at the Oct JagMag for more information on this car. Project 8 on the rear spoiler. John Holmes brought his Old English white 1956 XK140 OTS. John with black jacket & cap and behind him is Bill Holmes, his son. Holmes XK140 OTS again. Funny how the lighting/angle can make the paint look white white in this picture but off white in another. 2018 F-Type convertible in British Racing Green. I took this picure at 7:40am and Maura and Lennon Shank signed up for membership in the Seattle Jaguar Club at 8:07am. My greatest success story! Their F Type with BARNS license plate. Then Kurt sent me links to his wikipedia page and a Road & Track interview and a video on his garage! Wow! I love that color! A close up of decal on XK140 belonging to Greg Whitten. You might notice me getting Greg Whitten to enter his email address on my phone. I wanted to be able to send him stuff on our club and talk him into joining. Hasn't worked so far….. Greg couldn't understand why I wanted him to pose with his Jaguar when he had also brought this #42 Austin Healy racing car which, apparently, was much more valuable and probably has a story. Kurt went up on the balcony for some shots from on high. That's me waving, next to that car I couldn't find the owner for. A Beautiful Classic Bentley Capital B for Bentley. Ehab brought his 1950 XK120. He arrived late but everyone loves his car and let him pull into the main circle, by the fountains. Is John Holmes admiring Ehab's car or wondering how he got into the center circle when he arrived so late and John got there super early to get in the center circle? Kent Wiken on left and Tony Grayson on right, looking at that Project 8! Brian Case enjoys answering everyone's questions about the E-Type and just talking cars! It was a fun day! Everyone was enjoying the cars. Oh to be a child playing in the fountains! It was such a lovely day to stroll around such extraordinary cars! And the Towne Center was lovely. Definitely want to go again next year! Beautiful dogs posed in front of a beautiful car!

On March 26th, 2022 the Seattle Jaguar Club got to tour BritSport of Seattle. Mark Jones is the proprietor of Britsport of Seattle and we are grateful that he opened his shop for our club to tour. The green 1955 DB Lagonda 3 Litre Saloon has an interesting story. You will have to ask Mark to tell it to you. It was a very casual tour, people could wander around, socialize, ask Mark any questions they had and maybe even get an appointment setup for their car. Linda sipping her coffee! Bill Holmes made it to this event. Is John Holmes working on that car? This is CJ and Leo Taflin (and the dog they are pet sitting) in front of their 1970 XKE Roadster's bonnet. And here is the rest of the Taflin's XKE. Ron Smith with his friend but I can't remember his name. Len and Maura Shank checking out the cars. L-R Douglas Jackson, Brian's back, Ken Freed and Jeff Beatty. Mark was very low key but available to talk to people and answer questions. Mike Hunsley and Dann & Laverne Gadbois. Doug Jackson on left, brought a friend, Bob Willits, with red ballcap. Looks like John and Trish Blackburn are looking for John's post retirement. It was nice to see Linda Roberts get to make one of our events. Glen Read, Brian Case and Walt Crush. Bonnets and more Bonnets Early XK120, right hand drive. Mark works on all sorts of British cars. Ray Papineau with his XKSS replica and Debbie Read in her XK150. A few members left the WWABFM event and caravanned up to Arlington to attend. Balloons being blown up. Balloons being fired up. Balloons being blown up. After dark it was fun watching the lighted balloons. Shown here with Brian's E-Type and Glen's XK150. They lit up the balloons in time to some music. You had to be there! After the balloons, the lighted drones, about 100 of them, put on a performance. They made a balloon shape. They formed into circles The circles floated around. You really needed to be there to appreciate the choreography of 100 drones flowing seamlessly from one shape to another. Here they flowed into a star shape. And of course, the shape of an airplane. And the plane wasn't static, it flew around. The drones finale was this banner.
