The Seattle Jaguar Club met at RW Auto Classics in Monroe WA on 9/18/21 for a tour of the vast collection of parts they have. The building used to be a very large horse stable. Sad to see the loss of a horse stable but they have done a great job converting it and making good use of the space. Sean Riedel, far left, started off our tour with the basic run down. How they got started, how they have grown. Jesse Rumens, second from left, picked up the story. They specialize in British car parts. Matt Wittmier, second from left, gave us his background with the company. Far right is Ray Papineau. Far right is Ray Wittmier who is Matt Wittmier's father. He and Ray Papineau seemed to have a connection, their first names! Jesse explained how they buy up whole collections of parts from various sources. They have thousands of parts and it is a never ending task to catalog them all. They recommended calling them if you are looking for something specific and they can see if they have it. L-R, Mike Hunsley, Steve Walls, Kurt Jacobson, Brian Case. L-R, Ehab Sahawneh, Sean Riedel, Matt Wittmier, Doug Jackson. L-R, Steve Walls, Andrew Hewiston, Brian Case, Ehab Sahawneh. Front end of white XK120 OTS, not yet for sale Jaguar XJ S-C is for sale. Jesse Rumens on right seems to be entertaining Kurt and Ray with his stories. Rare Arnolt Bristol, one of 142 built and one of approximately 85 remaining. We were treated with the story of how Jesse won a bidding battle when the other bidder's phone line was cutoff. The tour continued around the warehouse. And around the warehouse. And people got to look around and have some conversations. Impressive collection of camshafts. Racks and racks of parts. I like this one for the colorfulness! Kurt and Ehab might be discussing the kissing E-Type bonnets. Members could wander around at their leisure and have a chance to catch up with other members. Or wander alone and look for that one part they need! Kurt looks lost among the racks and racks of parts. Seemed like the parts never ended. L-R, Doug Jackson, Martha Carpena and Steve Walls. And the parts continued upstairs! Not your typical salvage yard! A gazillion parts and a few cars for sale. They put on an impressive spread for our club members to enjoy. L-R, Doug Jackson, Sean Riedel, Brian Case and Bill Holmes. Doug Jackson can attest to the food being finger licking good! At the end of the tour Ehab traded a transmission with Matt.

Cars just arriving. The Redmond Towne Center was a great location for the Exotics car show-British Day held Sep 11th. It was an amazing and colorful collection of vehicles. Colorful! It was fun walking up and down trying to take in all the great cars! I like Kurt's description of a line of Skittles. There were a variety of cars! Bug Eye Sprites in Front and Aston Martins in the background. One area was filled with McLarens. The center circle, by the fountains, was filled with the cars the staff liked the best. In case you can't tell which is which, one on the left is new Project 8 belonging to Tony Grayson and the one on right is 1973 E Type 2+2 belonging to Brian Case. Tony Grayson standing behind the XE SV Project 8. One of only 300 produced. Look at the Oct JagMag for more information on this car. Project 8 on the rear spoiler. Tony Grayson with his Project 8 was on the cover of the Oct JagMag. Go read the article! Interior of the Project 8. Interior of Project 8. It still smells new! Another view of the Project 8. Tony had the car wrapped with the matte gray finish and protective film Austria Gracey shown with her 2016 F-Type R. Austria's 2016 F-Type R with its matte black wrap. John Schwartz and his 2010 XKR. His license plate describes his job! Brad Vancour on right. 2000 XK8 belongs to Tino and Sheila Pascua. They quickly disappeared. I'm guessing Sheila wanted to shop! Brad and John discussing cars? 2010 XKR convertible belongs to Brad Vancour. Not sure why, but Brad was pointing out every nick and ding to John. John Holmes brought his Old English white 1956 XK140 OTS. John with black jacket & cap and behind him is Bill Holmes, his son. Holmes XK140 OTS again. Funny how the lighting/angle can make the paint look white white in this picture but off white in another. 2018 F-Type convertible in British Racing Green. I took this picure at 7:40am and Maura and Lennon Shank signed up for membership in the Seattle Jaguar Club at 8:07am. My greatest success story! Their F Type with BARNS license plate. You know I love vanity plates. Need to find out the story behind this one! Non-member, Phil Torres in front of his Series 1 1970 XJ6. He is trying to sell it so I couldn't talk him into joining the club! XKR and its owner, non-member, Brian McLean. Never did find out who belongs to this nice looking E-Type. There is that E-Type again with unknown owner! Never found out who belongs to this jag either. 1966 green E-Type FHC belongs to member David Bosworth. His son Doug, behind car, had driven it to the Exotics. 1967 white E-Type belongs to non-member Fatin Kara. Just look at the clouds in the sky reflected in the shine on that XK140! Interior of the XK140. Look at those clouds again! How does he get that shine? This Bentley was another vehicle brought by Ron. He talked about driving this to Pebble Beach. Side view of Bentley Julian Pace came to drool over the the exotic cars. Taking picture of Tony's Project 8. Julian Pace and Tony Grayson talking cars. 1957 XK140 and its owner, Greg Whitten. I had no clue who he was. Then Kurt sent me links to his wikipedia page and a Road & Track interview and a video on his garage! Wow! I love that color! A close up of decal on XK140 belonging to Greg Whitten. You might notice me getting Greg Whitten to enter his email address on my phone. I wanted to be able to send him stuff on our club and talk him into joining. Hasn't worked so far….. Greg couldn't understand why I wanted him to pose with his Jaguar when he had also brought this #42 Austin Healy racing car which, apparently, was much more valuable and probably has a story. Kurt went up on the balcony for some shots from on high. That's me waving, next to that car I couldn't find the owner for. A Beautiful Classic Bentley Capital B for Bentley. Ehab brought his 1950 XK120. He arrived late but everyone loves his car and let him pull into the main circle, by the fountains. Is John Holmes admiring Ehab's car or wondering how he got into the center circle when he arrived so late and John got there super early to get in the center circle? Kent Wiken on left and Tony Grayson on right, looking at that Project 8! Brian Case enjoys answering everyone's questions about the E-Type and just talking cars! It was a fun day! Everyone was enjoying the cars. Oh to be a child playing in the fountains! It was such a lovely day to stroll around such extraordinary cars! And the Towne Center was lovely. Definitely want to go again next year! Beautiful dogs posed in front of a beautiful car!

Jaguar Owners Club of Oregon (JOCO) Joined with the Portland ABFM event and sponsored a JCNA sanctioned Concours. In addition to the Concours there was the Sovern Columbia River Classics vintage sports car races at the Portland International Raceway and they had a large swap meet on Sunday. The Land Rover Adventure Rides were cancelled due to Covid but I hope they have them in 2022, sounded like fun. The Portland ABFM had a lot of things to do at this event. JOCO had lots of banners. A variety of food vendors were available. They had a nice area setup with picnic tables to sit and eat and enjoy some conversation. And then there are the other, non-Jaguar, cars. 1958 Lister Knobly belongs to Steven Laremore of LaCenter, WA. It is nice to see when people have some history on the older vehicles. This is a fun one from Oregon. I had to look up this one. Based on what I see I think it means The Truth, The Whole Truth. But I could be wrong. How appropriate! MMEEOW belongs to JOCO member Seth Schenker on his XKR. Very Good, Jeeves! Does this qualify as a double entendre? Simple but nice! Fun! And that describes the Portland ABFM and JOCO Concours event!

Ray Papineau with his XKSS replica and Debbie Read in her XK150. A few members left the WWABFM event and caravanned up to Arlington to attend. They lit up the balloons in time to some music. You had to be there! After the balloons, the lighted drones, about 100 of them, put on a performance. They made a balloon shape. They formed into circles The circles floated around. You really needed to be there to appreciate the choreography of 100 drones flowing seamlessly from one shape to another. Here they flowed into a star shape. And of course, the shape of an airplane. And the plane wasn't static, it flew around. The drones finale was this banner.

The Shop had an amazing number of cars being stored there. As Kurt would say, this is a opossum's view of an XK140 As the story goes, Macklemore came one night and parked his Maybach outside and drove his vintage limo to some gala event. Also belonging to Macklemore was a "moose" motorcycle. XK150 Jaguar Trish Blackburn with Morgan Motorcycle The Shop also had storage for motorcycles like these Ducatis. Kurt Hrubant and Patty McKerney looking at a Cobra A very rare 1954 Sutton Jaguar special. Glad to see an E-Type stored in the garage. The Shop also offered a mechanic that could help you with your repairs or you could pay him to do the work for you. There was a doorway hidden behind a bookcase that led to a cigar lounge. The Annual Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Races at the Pacific Raceway was a great event. It is on the July 4th weekend every year. Definitely want to mark your calendar for next year. There was such a variety of cars in the car corral They were featuring the E-Type for its 60th anniversary. So Jaguars got to park right along the fence and it was a great spot to watch the races. It was a beautiful day and we could watch the races and socialize with other members or people looking at our jaguars. The display tent included two of our member's E-Types and a race car belonging to Mark Jones. The Blackburn's had their convertible in there and the Case's had their Coupe there. On Sunday Craig Shrontz added his BRG convertible E-Type to the display tent. Chuck & Lindsy Anderson packed a lot of stuff in the back of their E-Type. Here you can see them relaxing under the shade of their canopy with the Jaguar Racing flag flying. You can tell they have done this a time or two with their table & chairs, enjoying their picnic lunch. Chuck & Lindsy Anderson's 1964 E-Type attracted a lot of attention. It is good to see the younger generations being brought into the fold early! Mike Boyd brought his grandson Porter. Mike Boyd & Lynn Szalay in front of their 1970 E Type convertible. Mike & Porter getting ready to drive in the parade laps. Richard & Linda Desimone in their 1965 E-Type. They seemed to be having fun! Got to meet a former member, David Adelsman, shown with his 1986 XJ6. He said he is going to rejoin the club. Members Jay & Lori Dinnison, behind their 2016 F Type R This is when we all lined up for the parade laps. They had the E-Types first and then the rest of the Jaguars followed by everyone else. It was fun! Kent was able to get a shot of cars in front of him on the track during the parade laps. This is a great shot of the track taken by Kent Wiken. I will have to look for this spot next year! This is a look at the paddock. Craig Shrontz was actually there to enter in the races! Craig brought his Harrington Jaguar too. The car Craig raced is a 1960 Lola Mk1 Here is his #2 with other cars in Vintage Racing Motors tent. Great shot someone got of Craig in his Lola! Dr Ernie Nagamatsu in his Old Yeller II famous historic race car I like to photograph the rear-ends because it is helping me learn the models. This is Michael & Lynn's 1970 E-Type convertible. Sharon & Brian's 2003 S-Type Kent's 2015 XF Jay & Lori's 2016 F Type R Kurt & Cheryl's 2007 XK convertible Ray's 1968 E-Type FHC Richard & Linda's 1965 E-Type David Adelsman's 1986 XJ6 Brad's 2010 XKR convertible Ehab's 1963 E-Type FHC Brian & Sharon's E-Type Coupe 2+2 John & Trish's 1969 E-Type OTS in Ascot Fawn Kurt Hrubant's 2015 F-Type Coupe Michael Watt's 1994 XJ6 Joey Manley's F Pace Craig Shrontz's 1966 E-Type Roadster in British Racing Green

They actually closed a lane of California Ave for the event. Red E-Type is Marwan's and white E-Type belongs to John Carallo (not a club member, yet). Red E-Type near front of line belongs to Brian & Sharon Case Julian Pace and Brian Case checking out all the cars. Julian really liked the XK150 that belongs to our member Gary Mulhair Julian talked to the owner about his unusual Kaiser Darrin The most unusual feature was the pocket doors! I love those!
